[Ecumenism and the unity of the Church. Foundations – Paths – Goals]
Ecumenism has become more diverse and confusing. With the increasing complexity, the requirement remains to think and reflect on the path of ecumenism, on the divisions and on the unity of the Church of Jesus Christ. With this in mind, the Johann Adam Möhler Institute in Paderborn, which has been researching questions of ecumenism since 1957, is setting out to publish a new »Handbook of Ecumenism«. The first volume, which has already been published, deals with denominational studies. It provides information about churches and denominations with which the Catholic Church is in conversation. This second volume is dedicated to the foundations, the principles of ecumenism, and provides information about the historical development of the question of unity.
