CCICED Annual Policy Report 2024

This open access book brings environmental green development ideas based on mainstream of China’s policy reform collecting from 10 major subjects from all study groups. It focuses on the progress of China’s environment and development policies from 2024’s study accomplishments. The book is mainly for providing environmental policies of China for policy makers. In 2024, the global economy is facing a general downward trend. Making peace with nature is the only way to get back on the right track of sustainable development. The year of 2024 also marks an important year for China to implement its 14th Five-Year Plan. As an annual publication, this book is based on the research outputs of CCICED in 2024. These research including carbon neutrality, ocean management, collaborative mechanism, green development and climate adaptation, low-carbon transition, sustainable trade and supply chain, sustainable investment, circular economy, and biodiversity conservation and implementation etc.

The China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development (CCICED) was founded in 1992 as a high-level international advisory body with the approval of the Government of China. Along with rapid economic and social progress, the Council has witnessed and taken part in China’s historic shifts in its development philosophy and model.
